2025 Pied de Cuve Cabernet Franc
The 2025 Pied de Cuve Cabernet Franc is a juicy, fresh, punchy Cabernet Franc packed with flavours and aromas of blueberry, raspberry and red plum with violet and dried herb notes. Unfined and unfiltered. It pops with crunchy, fresh mixed berries, savoury dried wild herbs, floral violet notes, earth, leather and baking spice and has a long, refreshing finish. Try it lightly chilled for summer deliciousness.
This vintage is sourced from a vineyard in Kaleden in the Okanagan Valley named Michelle's Escape. The grapes were partially foot trodden with 1/3 left as whole clusters. Fermentation took place with wild yeast. Three punch downs per day were done gently by hand with 9 days total of skin contact. After that the wine was pressed, racked once off the lees in November and again in March off the fine lees. No oak was used with ageing 100% in stainless steel.
