N/V Rosé – 82 Cases Produced
This wine is based on the hot 2021 vintage, with some fresh, zippy 2019 Riesling blended with the Cabernet Franc to add crisp acidity. This is a riper style Rosé, the 2021 Cabernet Franc from Mariposa vineyard showing extra ripeness due to the hot year. About 30% of the wine is Riesling from our Mulberry Tree Vineyard to balance the ripeness and add the racy, mineral acidity the site is known for.
Just off-dry, very intense and bold in style. The nose shows sun-warmed raspberry, bacon, crushed violets, fig and nuts. Off-dry, surprisingly full bodied with balancing crisp acidity and flavours of currant, lime, potpourri, paprika and orange zest with a long finish.
